STUDIO & WORKSHOP
Ditchwerks Studio and Workshop was founded in 2012 with the simple mission to create art. Art is for everyone and our goal as artist is to share our love for art with everyone. We hold strong to our values of reduce, reuse and recycle by using re-purposed and up-cycled material whenever possible; in doing so we are able to keep our costs and our carbon footprint low. Whether it is wall art, apparel, or a custom bike, art is everywhere. We sell our art to fund the creation of new projects and bring quality Craft and Studio Art to all. At Ditchwerks our ultimate goal is to help the community, support emerging artists and share our love for art with the world.
values
RESPECT and have good vibes. Be nice. Love art. Spread the love.
HONESTY and transparency. Real people make ditchwerks, not robots. Our number one mission is to love art and spread the love. We aim to be upfront about what we do and how we do it.
Ecological, economic and social RESPONSIBILITY. We strive to use repurposed materials whenever possible.* There is no need to buy new leather from a factory when we can respect the animal (and our carbon footprint) buy giving new life to scraps of leather or an old jacket that would otherwise have gone in the trash. Repurposing materials is also a way we can keep the price down on products so more people have access to quality goods. We also take responsibility to ensure as many people have access to art as possible. Our theory behind artisan goods is that many people who don’t even realize they appreciate art, but a practical object like a wallet gives them the opportunity to experience and appreciate art on a daily basis.
